About the film: Shenbagamae Shenbagamae (1988) was written and directed by Gangai Amaran and produced by S. Mohan, T. K. T. Dakshinamoorthy, and K. Raj Mohan under Sri Lakshmana Films, starring Ramarajan and Rekha alongside Silk Smitha, Vagai Chandrasekhar, and Senthil, in a story centered on a conflict between two plantation-owning families. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, with lyrics mostly by Gangai Amaran, and vocals from S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Malaysia Vasudevan, S. Janaki, K. S. Chithra, and Ilaiyaraaja himself.
