Kavadi Sindhu Vinyl Record – K. Bhagyaraj Tamil Vinyl

Kavadi Sindhu is a Tamil musical from K. Bhagyaraj, who directed it, wrote it and composed its music. This pre-owned 12-inch LP carries songs sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, S. Janaki, K. S. Chithra and P. Jayachandran, with lyrics mostly by Vaali.

About the film

Kavadi Sindhu was produced by Muktha Srinivasan (Muktha Films) and Kunjappan Pictures, with K. Bhagyaraj and Amala in the lead roles. The film was made in 1986 and shelved before completion, but its soundtrack was released. Bhagyaraj composed the music himself after a misunderstanding with Ilaiyaraaja.

For the collector

This is an unusual record, the soundtrack of a film that never reached cinemas, and the only way to hear Bhagyaraj’s own compositions. It suits collectors of K. Bhagyaraj, Vaali’s lyrics and SPB–Janaki duets.
