Kaavadi Chindu with photo Vinyl Record – K. Bhagyaraj Tamil Vinyl

Kaavadi Chindu is a Tamil musical from K. Bhagyaraj, who wrote it, directed it and composed its music. This pre-owned 12-inch AVM Audio picture disc shows Bhagyaraj and Amala on the record face. It carries songs sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, S. Janaki, K. S. Chithra and P. Jayachandran, with lyrics mostly by Vaali.

About the film

The disc credits “Sanya Cine Combines”, presented by Muktha Movies and K.N.K. Pictures, with story, screenplay, dialogue, direction and music all by K. Bhagyaraj. K. Bhagyaraj and Amala play the leads. The film was made in 1986 and shelved before completion, but its soundtrack was released. Bhagyaraj composed it himself after a misunderstanding with Ilaiyaraaja.

For the collector

Picture discs are far rarer than standard black-vinyl pressings, and this one is also the soundtrack of a film that never reached cinemas. It suits collectors of K. Bhagyaraj, Vaali’s lyrics, SPB–Janaki duets and Indian picture discs.
