Ivargal Indiyargal is a 1987 Tamil family comedy-drama starring Ramarajan and Madhuri, with music by the duo Manoj–Gyan and lyrics by Vaali. This pre-owned 12-inch LP brings back an 80s Tamil soundtrack that is hard to find on vinyl.

About the film

Directed by Om Sakthi S. Jagadeesan and produced by Ja. Gurumurthy under Om Selvi Arts, Ivargal Indiyargal was released on 10 July 1987. Ramarajan plays Ramu, a hardworking clerk who is tricked into marrying Savitri (Madhuri) by the social worker Petition Periyanayaki (Lakshmi). He first has to see his three sisters married, and Savitri agrees to wait. The cast also includes Jaishankar, S. S. Chandran, Radha Ravi, Delhi Ganesh, Senthil, Thyagu and Disco Shanti.

For the collector

Manoj–Gyan soundtracks are scarce on vinyl, and this LP pairs Vaali’s lyrics with voices such as Malaysia Vasudevan, Vani Jairam, Jayachandran, S. N. Surendar and B. S. Sasirekha. It will suit collectors of 80s Tamil film music and Ramarajan’s early films.
