Dharmam Vellum / Paadu Nilave Vinyl Record – Ilaiyaraaja Tamil Vinyl

This vinyl record pairs Ilaiyaraaja's soundtracks for two Tamil films on one LP: Dharmam Vellum (1989) on Side A and Paadu Nilave (1987) on Side B. It carries nine songs in total, sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, K. S. Chithra, Mano, Malaysia Vasudevan, Jikki and Ilaiyaraaja, with lyrics by Gangai Amaran and Vaali.

About the films: Dharmam Vellum (meaning "dharma will triumph") is a 1989 Tamil action thriller produced and directed by K. Rangaraj, starring Vijayakanth, Sujatha and Gautami. Paadu Nilave (meaning "oh moon, please sing") is a 1987 Tamil romantic musical directed by K. Rangaraj, starring Mohan as a die-hard fan of a singer played by Nadhiya, with Ravichandran and Senthil in support. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music for both films, and this Echo Records pressing brings the two soundtracks together on a single LP.

For the collector: This Tamil vinyl LP suits Vijayakanth and Mohan fans, listeners who follow K. Rangaraj's collaborations with Ilaiyaraaja, and collectors of old Tamil movie songs vinyl records. If you want a Dharmam Vellum / Paadu Nilave vinyl record to buy online, or you are building a shelf of Kollywood vinyl records, it is a fitting addition.
