P. Muthuraman and produced by Kavithalayaa Productions, based on the life of the Hindu saint Raghavendra Tirtha. It starred Rajinikanth in the title role, in his 100th film, alongside Lakshmi, Vishnuvardhan, Delhi Ganesh, and Nizhalgal Ravi. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack with all lyrics by Vaali, and the songs span an unusually wide set of Carnatic ragas: "Parthale Theriyadha" in Anandabhairavi, "Aadal Kalaiye" in Charukesi, "Azhaikiran Madhavan" in Subhapantuvarali, "Ramanamam" in Mayamalavagowla, and "Mazhaikkoru" in Amruthavarshini. Rajinikanth's performance as the saint was widely praised, and this remains a distinctive, classically-rooted entry in the Ilaiyaraaja Tamil vinyl catalogue.

For the collector: As the soundtrack behind Rajinikanth's 100th film and a rare devotional score built entirely on classical ragas, this record is a genuine milestone piece for any Kollywood vinyl records collection.
