This Shenbagame Shenbagame vinyl record carries six tracks, a solid pick for anyone collecting old Tamil movie songs vinyl records from the late 1980s.

About the film: Shenbagamae Shenbagamae (1988) was written and directed by Gangai Amaran and produced by S. Mohan, T. K. T. Dakshinamoorthy, and K. Raj Mohan under Sri Lakshmana Films, starring Ramarajan and Rekha alongside Silk Smitha, Vagai Chandrasekhar, and Senthil, in a story centered on a conflict between two plantation-owning families. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, with lyrics mostly by Gangai Amaran, and vocals from S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Malaysia Vasudevan, S. Janaki, K. S. Chithra, and Ilaiyaraaja himself. The track "Manja Podi Theikkayile" is set to the Carnatic raga Keeravani and is a slower reworking of a tune Ilaiyaraaja originally wrote for the Telugu film Maharshi. It's a genuinely interesting entry in the Ilaiyaraaja Tamil vinyl catalogue, tied together by its recycled-title backstory.

For the collector: This title suits Kollywood vinyl records collectors interested in Gangai Amaran's late-80s filmography or in the interconnected naming history behind his films. For anyone searching for the Shenbagame Shenbagame vinyl record buy online, this pressing carries the complete six-track soundtrack on one record.

Important Specifications

Field

Details

Title

Shenbagame Shenbagame – Ilaiyaraaja

Star Cast

Ramarajan, Rekha, Silk Smitha, Vagai Chandrasekhar, K.
